The top ring is inflated and water is filled in the pool and it starts floating and the pool expands to its full size. This type of pool can be as large as 18 inches round and have a depth of 48 inches. They are the cheapest option for above ground pools and are quickly prepared. It all depends on the pressure of water with which you fill up the pool that how speedily the pool is filled. This type of above ground pool is easier to move anywhere. They are good options for people who live on rent as this type of pool leaves no traces behind. There are few flaws with such types of pools one of which is that they come with the equipment which is not very efficient to fill them. The pool wall of such a swimming pool can tear easily causing the water to leak so this needs to be handled carefully.
- Steel Frame Above Ground Pools
This type of swimming pools come with a steel frame and it has a footing and also upright pool bracing. It has a top rail as well. Once this pool is assembled it can be filled with water. It can be as large as 22 inches round and 52 inches deep. Some of these designs also have rectangular designs as well. They can be used easily within one or two hours and they can also be easily relocated. They have variety of sizes as wells so can be used by adults or kids.
- Traditional Above Ground Pool
The traditional above ground pools are a more permanent option for swimming pool. They can be fit into the backyards for summer parties. It consists of a frame made up of metal or resin and it includes a top ledge and upright posts which give support to pool and it has a bottom track on which the pool is fitted. This type of pool has separate pool liner and a separate pool wall. It comes in different varieties. It can be as large as 36 inches round and have a depth of 54 inches.
- Semi In-ground Pool
They are a new type of above ground pools which are planted partially buried into the ground hence they are named as semi in-ground pools. They are similar to the traditional ones with the difference that they have totally insulated walls panel which is around two inches thick. They come in different shapes such as round or oval and they can also have a free form shape.

This type of in-ground pool requires digging a hole in the ground and creating a structure with steel and then concrete is poured into it. Any design can be made while building a concrete pool. - Fiberglass pool:

This has a life of above 20 years. Their costs start from $25000 and it can increase from there as the size of pool increases.
- Vinyl lined pools:
To make this type of pool a hole is dig in ground and then a layer of sand is coated then a one piece vinyl liner is placed over it which is then secured with a coping material. This has a lifespan of 10 years and its shelf life can further be increased to 18 years if the liner contains UV inhibitors. The cost of this type of pool will depend on its size.
